How to repair a trouble of engine hesitation.

 

Model: Hyundai Tucson

Year Model: 2004

Fuel: Gasoline

Displacement:3000cc

Subject: Engine Hesitation – EGR Solenoid Valve.

 

1) Condition

1. Engine stalling when stopping the vehicle in cold condition.

2) Cause

1. Due to EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation)solenoid valve has been stuck up.

3) Trouble Shooting Procedure.

1. Scan tool check
   = NO Diagnostic trouble code
2. Inspect the current data.
   = Oxygen sensor value is high(All of them)
   = Air flow sensor signal is low.
3. Check for an air leaking of intake manifold using vacuum gauge – Normal
4. Inspect EGR valve.
   = Check the operating condition after removing the EGR valve using hand vacuum pump = Normal.
   =Inspect the EGR solenoid valve.
   = The valve is stuck in opening condition.
   =After replacing the EGR valve, the problem disappears.

4) Replace Parts.

1. EGR solenoid valve.
