1.Study tips Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.

2.Study tips Remove the lower anchor bolt.

3.Study tips Remove the following parts. (Refer to the Body group- Interior trim)

A.Study tips Door scuff trim

B.Study tips Center pillar trim

4.Study tips Remove the upper anchor bolt.

5.Study tips Disconnect the seat belt pretensioner connector (A).

6.Study tips Loosen the seat belt pretensioner mounting bolts (B,C) and remove the seat belt pretensioner.

Installation

1.Study tips Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.

2.Study tips Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes.

3.Study tips Install the seat belt pretensioner with a bolts (B, C).

Tightening torque

Bolt B: 39.2 ~ 53.9 Nm (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~39.8 lb.ft)

4.Study tips Connect the seat belt pretensioner (BPT) connector (A).

5.Study tips Install the upper anchor bolts.

8.Study tips Reconnect the battery negative cable.

9.Study tips After installing the seat belt pretensioner, confirm proper system operation:

A.Study tips Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
